Those of us in south Tejas are currently caught in between Winter and Spring-like weather which seems to oscillate every couple days. Our plants don’t appreciate it, but I’m trying to remind myself that I’ll be craving a cold day or two come July.
Obviously I’ve been a bad little blogger at keeping up with posting my Project 365 pics. They are still alive though, and being collected in another project. Some of them just didn’t make sense for this blog; others I will continue to post here in the ‘life’ category. ![]()
On another note, if you also have a blog or Flickr feed, post it in the comments. I’d love to check it out.
Two ingredients from our yard that make BBQ yummmmmy…

A few more pics from this weekend…

Mario took this pic of what looks like an albino cow, who was all alone from the rest of the herd… mean cows…

Our holidays this year started mid-December with Xmas parties, and ended yesterday (the kids’ last day home from school) with the decorating of their gingerbread houses. In between was a lot of gift wrapping, food, toys, balloons, cousins, sweets, and even a pinata. Nothing could’ve prepared us for the onslaught that presents for three kids from our two big families would bring. It’s all a bit of a daze… thank goodness for photographs to sort it all out later…

Anyone addicted to Flickr like I am has heard about Project 365, but for those who aren’t I’ll explain that it’s an attempt to take & share a picture everyday for a whole year. Obviously, I already take a lot of pictures, but not everyday. I struggle with the desire to capture everyday moments and how that conflicts with actually living that moment without a camera between me & the activity/kid/sunrise. But the reason I’ve decided to start this journey this year is because I want to challenge myself to get more creative and step out of my comfort zone with a project no one is paying me for (and therefore is open to mistakes that lead to happy accidents). Another component of the project is to share the images daily to contribute to and learn from the many Project 365 participants. Time to brush off the fun yet difficult lenses, the film SLR my bro-in-law gifted me, my Polaroid, my iPhone, and whatever else will capture a moment and get to snappin’…
Until then here are some snaps from a beautiful Texas winter day while waiting on some clients to arrive…

The moment we’ve been waiting for finally arrived two weeks ago… M & I became parents to three kids and life has been FULL SPEED AHEAD ever since! Bottles, diapers, naps, schoolwork, baths & bedtimes have all replaced everything else we used to fill our time with (what was that exactly?). All three are insanely beautiful, more fun than a box of kittens, and a ton of work. I haven’t had much time for photography or blogging or daily showering, but despite the lack of sleep and personal space I have never loved anything more.
